2004 TJR with a 5.5" long arm lift. Jeep has been driving great up until last couple months, beat on it pretty hard this last summer. Dry tested and noticed some play in the (I think heim joint) on driver/frame side of my track bar installed by PO. Decided to replace entire thing with with a Rockjock track bar. Once I got off the existing TB I realized there was a drop down/relocation bracket on driver side. The RJ bar doesn't fit in the existing drop bracket.
Questions... what is the purpose of the drop bracket? Can I remove it and connect the Rockjock to the original mounting point? Is my lift what caused the need for the bracket? What are my options here? Am I better off just figuring out what kind of TB I have and just replacing the hiem joint? Any guess what brand existing TB is? Thanks in advance for the help. Other info.. I have a drop pitman arm from an XJ, also replacing joint from Correctlynk to pitman arm.
