Hey guys, so I've decided to install the Rostra cruise control kit on my 06 TJ with a manual. I am having a tough time figuring out how to mount the clutch disengagement switch that comes with the kit. Could anyone running the Rostra system post any pictures of their switch set ups so I have a few more ideas on how to make it work?

Here ya go:

Added onto the provided bracket to reach all the way around the clutch pedal lever.

If I had it to do over again, I would NOT do it this way - I'd use TWO ell brackets back to back and connect to the (unused) bolt to the far right and NOT drill a hole like I did for the center bolt I installed here. Would have been a lot easier for one, but more importantly...

Said hole - see the slotted bolt in the center shadow - came out uncomfortably close to the master cylinder - I got REAL lucky. The Goddess watches over fools and drunks, and I don't drink!

The blow-by-blow of the whole thing can be found here: https://www.doubleveil.net/jeep/thirty.htm - I added a "cancel" switch by wiring a PBNC in series with the clutch switch.

Not many folks here using the Rostra, they tend to retrofit the stock system, but that has steering wheel buttons and I *HATE* buttons on the steering wheel of any kind other than the horn.

Thank you so much! I would have gone with the factory set up because I don't mind the buttons, but I don't have the wiring harness for it :( Honestly I'm still a little confused about the L brackets. The switch is normally closed right? And pushing the clutch is supposed to open the switch and cancel cruise? Are those brackets needed to reach around and position the switch above the clutch pedal arm?

Its actually what's known as a PBNO - Push Button Normally Open - the clutch pedal arm/lever pushes it in and closes the switch so that when the clutch is depressed, the switch opens and cancels. In other words, its NOT a normally closed switch, its HELD closed by the non-depressed clutch pedal arm. As for the brackets - you need *some* way to hold the switch such that the non-activated clutch lever keeps it depressed. The pix show what I did, and how to improve upon it - but other ways are possible I'm sure. You might be able to attach a bracket of some kind to the metal piece that runs behind the bottom of the dash - that might be better or it might be a royal pain in the ass, I have no idea...
