Replacing factory mirrors

I was thinking about replacing my factory mirrors (bc they are both cracked). I found some good quick release mirrors and I was wondering if anyone has ever just permanently replaced the factory mirrors with quick release mirrors. I don't see why it would be a bad idea besides the holes where the old mirrors were. Any other ideas or suggestions

While not quick release I just installed the OEM style from Quadra-suck and they're pretty nice, The pair cost me $77 and change.

I installed a set from rugged ridge, I have been very happy with the finish was smoother and better looking then factory other then that the same

Sorry if my answer appeared a bit snarky - I was born and raised in New Jersey in the '60's - if you fell asleep with your mouth open and you were LUCKY, your fillings were the ONLY thing that got stolen; if you were unlucky, they took your teeth too, LOL...

As a result, I lock EVERYTHING, ALL the time, EVERYWHERE I go! Once you've been robbed, it (should) change(s) you. On my Jeep, I use anti-theft hardware on just about every item that I figger someBODY might want to steal. I also try to always sleep with my mouth shut too...

I bought MOPAR mirrors, they cost a little more but they work, don’t shift around as you drive.

Seems like the ‘03-‘06 style is a better design than the early years. I bought Mopar early style and they require constant tightening of the nut on the pivot arm and the three Phillips screws under the rubber boot to keep them from moving around. Maybe some loc-tite is in order.

My 98 mirrors started corroding and I had enough of it and bought newer style, which also 'seemed' to be a bit larger but are still nice today.

I plan on picking up some replacement mirrors to give them a try. I want something that will be in place whether the doors are on or off. I’m going to pick these, or something like them, up within the next few months.
