Keep at it!

What does LTFT say?
It’s weird none of this is throwing a code. I know you said that you checked the bulb and it was good but have you verified that the PCM will light it. Does it light up when you turn the key on? Maybe try disconnecting a sensor to verify that the PCM is properly triggering the CEL?
I may not be explaining this very well, but I believe LTFT is designed to show the "new normal". If the engine is running perfectly the LT will be at or near zero and the short term will adjust from there according to the rich/lean indicted by the O2 sensor (and others). You're starting point is now -22, and short term is adjusting up or down from that point. Long and short are not independent of each other.
I didn’t even think of that. KISS keep it simple stupidI’ll check it tomorrow. When I get neck deep in something like this I tend to over analyze and skip the obvious
Before you start digging into it today, with the engine still cold plug in your scan tool and pull up the coolant temp pid. See if the temperature the PCM sees is the same or close to ambient temperature with a cold engine.

That's a good way of putting it. The new norm. Even though in this case the new norm is abnormal and will return to normal once fixed.
I wonder if someone custom tuned the PCM for something...

I talked to the guy I traded with for it today. He said he didn’t do much outside the timing chain kit. And he said he is certain he had the marks right. He owns other jeeps and seems pretty competent. He did share with me that the PO before him fancied himself a mechanic but wasn’t even shade tree level. So there is god knows what done behind the scenes I’ll have to undo. I’m gonna just get to basics today and verify mechanical timing is right and move from there.

I have a tune on my jeep since I tuned it,My header from ARH likes to glow red or purple ish when I'm having fun, they get very bright but no overheating though
Like mac said your jeep may have a tune? Stock tunes tend to run a bit rich and cause of that i leaned my tune out a bit added timing etc. Etc. and gained quiet a bit of power comapred to the stock tune
I did encounter the same problem of the LT when looking at my afrs. On HpTuners,Replaced the 02 sensors with new Ntk units and for some reason only 1 of them was bad and was throwing my readings off! Added more fuel trim here and there to make my afrs a bit happier and no more lean fuel trim codes!
You got a strange case my man

That’s pretty warm. But I think you could open my hood and land helicopters by the glow it’s so bright.

At the center is the 1st cylinder, center of the bottom us the 6to1 collector
This was on the side of the street from what I remember,I told myself "After all that I wonder what my header looks like *opens hood*.......OH DAMN,she's a bit hot! "
Didn't bother going under the jeep to snap more pictures cause again,I was on the side of a road
Edit- I've had this header for a few thousand miles and many heat cycles of them getting cherry red/orange and they hold up great, Same with the header washer&stud kit from Jezza![]()
