Did not know that was a feature!! I saw the 'wifi-like' sign on the side but never even thought twice why it was there....
It's nice for turning it on & off when your hands are greasy or oily.

Makes sense.
For those considering it, clearly it has the needed sensitivity for hands because I'd been up against the body and never had it get 'accidentally' trigger by rolling around on the Jeep.
That said - I'm not telling my wife about this feature because it's still fun to be the idiot talking to her wearing the bright LED beam.
@Wildman turned me on to these a while back:

Can't beat the price and getting x2 per pack. Battery life has been outstanding and held up well over the past year.
Very comfortable. So much so that I go in to talk with my wife and forget I'm wearing it when talking to her...![]()
You need to go grab one and try that feature out just to see how it works.
The ones I'd bought before show a 2.5-8 hours of use.

If you get the 2 pack you can have one charging while using the other one.
Knives and flashlights were a gateway to jeeps and Milwaukee tools. If you want to go down the rabbit hole, Zak does a good write up of some non big box brands, sizes and options and often a more in depth review. You can jump down to the headlight section.

I live off grid and use a headlamp frequently. Every day in the winter. These two are our primary headlamps. Can anyone suggest a rechargeable headlamp that has good lumens and good battery life?
This one because I don't particularly like head lamps.

To report back to you and @Wildman. I got 2 of these and they work well. I don’t like the on/off when you wave your hand feature because apparently my head gets close to the bumper or frame or tire and it goes off or in. But the functionality and light and run time is good. I’ll report back next Christmas. Thanks!
I think the "wifi" looking button turns that feature on and off - I have a different brand and mine doesn't do the wavey thing I think because I haven't pressed it yet? I haven't actually used it I just found it after losing it for a few weeks right after buying it.
