Rear Window Seal

I was at a car wash recently and a lot of water poured in from the top section of the rear window. Is there a way to seal up the window to hardtop better? I adjusted with mounts on the window and do have a new seal on the inner lip and all of it helped a little but has anyone used something like this attached to the window to help improve the sealing of the rear window?

Have you tried spacing the gasket out by putting some double stick tape on the lip?
