Hello y’all, I was wondering what y’all’s opinions of Yukon Gear & Axle specifically this kit (my gears blew up so I’m looking to rebuild)
https://www.quadratec.com/p/yukon-g...tall-kits-jeep-wrangler-tj-dana-30-front-dana
I run 35s and according to this chart that should be a good combo
http://myjeeptj.com/wrangler-write-ups/gear-ratio-to-tire-size-chart/I have stock 4.11 in the rear and 4.10 in the front so I shouldn’t need new carriers right? (I believe it says taller ratios need a different carrier). Is there anything I should watch out for while swapping gears? I also have a lunchbox style locker, I believe it’s still good (haven’t torn into it yet it just looks good)

Which gear ratio?
Where is the locker? Front or rear?
Have you considered a Super35 kit?

Sorry I thought the link said the ratio. I want to run 4.88. Locker is in the rear. No i hadn’t even heard of those but I just took a look and I don’t really think that’s where I’m going to go with it right now. In the future I plan on swapping the axle all together so I’m just trying to get it going again now with as few hiccups and issues as possible. I would like to have my 5th gear back that’s why I’m going with the shorter ratio or else I would just fix it using the same parts it has on. As I said I have a lunchbox style locker (in the rear) and from a quick visual inspection it looks fine, I’ll be taking it apart in the morning to be 100% but it looks fine so that’ll save me roughly 200 if it is. I just would like to know if anyone has run that Yukon kit or if there’s a similar kit with all the same parts for roughly the same price (or lower) with better build quality.
