Problem Code P0441

What are the symptoms? Because I have the code and maybe need to change the charcol canister. When I turn on the vehicle cold, the Jeep start at 2000 - 3000 rpm and when I put gas with the pedal it back to 750 - 800 rpm.

I'm pretty sure my Jeep HATES ME! I have suspected the charcoal canister for a while now, when I replaced the fuel pump I thought to replace the canister, but with the rear coils and mounting I can't get to it anymore without lifting off the whole body! any suggestions?

2003 Jeep TJ owner here. I have had my jeep for over 20 years. Over the last 4 years I fought code 441 for small evap. I changed charcoal canister, evap solenoid, lines, etc. Essentially everything. No change. Two weeks ago, I bought new tires and went from my oversized 31" tires to the original factor spec tires. The engine code cleared and has not come back since. I've talked to a few mechanics who have all shrugged their shoulders on tire size solving things, but after years of fighting this code with no luck, I thought I'd share. Cheers-JM

Bump. I have had my 97 TJ for about six years and never had a check engine light. Was running 235/75r15 tires that whole time.

Put 31's on two weeks ago and have had two P0441 codes since. Probably a coincidence but thought it was worth a bump.
