2000 TJ 4L Auto w/ Dana 35 rear end
Over the last several weeks, I've developed a "popping" noise coming from the rear end when reversing and when starting off from a complete stop. The popping occurs when turning and when going straight.
See the attached video as a reference of the sound I'm hearing. This is not my video, but a video I found on another thread of someone having a similar issue; however, there was no update to the thread to determine the potential causes.
I have replaced just about everything suspension wise except for coil springs and rear track bar.
Something else worth mentioning- I have noticed when putting the jeep into gear (F or R), the jeep squats quite a bit. Is that normal? Im getting several inches of squat when putting it into gear. Could the popping be worn out coils, or is that a separate issue?
Appreciate the help!
Update: had a shop check all U-joints recently and all are in good shape. No popping is coming from U-joints.
