Piss & Moan Table

I used my smartphone to order a desktop computer tower today!!!

You're moving up in the world...

What did you get? I'm starting to think of an upgrade as this ol' Mac is getting flakey. I'm thinking of one of the HP Minis, but they *are* pricey. However, I need more power captain! I'm doing stuff now that needs a lot more computing power than what I was doing in 2007.

For all the bitching and crying over noses stuck in smartphooooonnnnnes @Zorba one really GREAT thing about them is no more ratty nasty two year old magazines to thumb through. When sitting at the Dr waiting on your turn and the only mag to read is a home and garden, or red book, or teen, or cosmopolitan that has half the pages snotted on or ripped out I’ve got my smart phhhhoooonnnnne.
It brings peace and tranquility to the hated waiting room.
Ohhh, and my new $249 air pods not only block out the sound they allow the nurses voice calling my name to see the doc!

My smartphone is soooooo smart! 😊😇🥰😝😎🧐

A company I'd not heard of before but I bought through amazon so I can return it for a while.

Envision S13 SFF

Intel i9-14900k processor
96 gb ram
8TB HDD
2TB SSD
Windows 11 PRO

Already have a monitor.

Need something that can handle the 3D scanner I bought.

Sounds nice. I just learned about the i9 processor myself while window shopping for a system - i7 was the bestest when I retired 7+ years ago. Good on getting the "Pro" version of Windows, somewhat less bullshit than the "Home" versions.

If you like reading tiny text on a tiny screen - and probably with a glaring WHITE background. Smartphones are just sub-optimal for virtually everything they do, no thank you. I won't comment on the money you spent for this "magnificence".

The processors are a pain to sort out, you have to go by generation too. an i7-14xxx is faster than an i7-12xxx.

So, my fairly new GE fridge has the water filter with the RFID label on it. On the dot of 6 months it flashes red with no way to reset the light. If you put in an aftermarket filter the water and ice shut off. Not paying $50+ for their filter. The work around is to get a free bypass plug from GE and put it near the filter. That way I can use aftermarket filter that are much cheaper. Sooo 6 weeks ago I ordered one, 3 weeks later nothing. Call back "oh we had the model number wrong" you have my phone and email wouldn't you follow up? They then retake all my info and tell me it will be out next day service.....mmmmm still not here. Call back, "oh, it is out of stock till Dec 30"????? How can you tell me that it is shipping next day air when you don't even have it.

WTF, all this inventory tracking and they still can't get it right! At least CS is in the states with a nice female with a great southern accent.

Ordered a 5 ton load cell and display from ATO. Heavy box just arrived and this is what I got:
