So I went to a corvette event tonight, it was just a bunch of us sitting in front of an ice cream place. Most of the members are eating , and talking. We all have our corvettes there.

The couple to my left are asking about how I made out with my insurance from the accident. I told then they asked me if I got a daily driver yet, or if I'm using my corvette.

I made the mistake of saying I picked up a Mustang Convertible. The reason I say "mistake " is because the guy to my right is a loud mouth blow hard.

He goes into this long ass rant about how he ended up with a Mustang rental car because they ran out of Chevys. Then went on and on about how worthless mustangs are.

Someone would change the subject, then a few minutes later he would bring it up again saying that mustangs should all be crushed or some other nonsense.

I'm ready to leave the loud mouth comes over to my car leans in says I really like your corvette, blah blah. I think his wife told him people didn't like his comments??

I've owned a few mustangs over the years I got them because they were all convertibles. I liked every mustang I've owned, do I like my corvette better? Yes

I know a guy who bought a Kia Soul I personally don't like them after renting one but I didn't give him shit about it front of a group of people.

Love the color of the stang, but the radar blue on that pace car is my absolute favorite vehicle..

I've done the same thing , many times I had to edit posts to correct poor spelling ! If I'm the one noticing your incorrect spelling/grammar you have have some issues !

Seems to be the NEW thing to do... My barber shop has had issues with folks leaving a 1 star review due to what they felt was a slight towards them....

I review technical reports prior to publication. Luckily they are not as bad as internet posts. Most of the time.

The AC went out on the corvette, blend door actuator needs to be replaced, plus the tpms sensors need replacing. I keep getting a message that my tires are flat and don't go over 55 mph.

Oh and the Jeep needs a starter. The mustang needs a second key fob because the stupid Mykey is turned on so the car won't go over 80 mph. My daughter in-law says I shouldn't go over 80 anyways. She is really funny.

I ordered some tires for the pickup truck on May 24 (Saturday) I got FedEx tracking on the 26 Monday with a “Label created” status that never changed all week. Tires arrived Monday.

We have a detached garage that you walk past to get to the house. The 4 tires were left right in front of the house door. The Mrs had an Amazon pkg that was left in front of the garage.

I figured it was one of those deals where they create the label then sandbag it. I was going to follow up on it today if nothing had moved.

My UPS driver usually leaves the package by the garage door (side facing garage) rain or shine. 10 more feet and you would at my covered porch.

Weird. My UPS drivers all walk all the way to my door and open the gate to my deck, driving my dog insane. Wish they'd just leave it at the gate or driveway.

I was just discussing this subject (customer service regarding package delivery) with my wife this morning. Although I live in a very rural area, most of our deliveries route out of Austin. That general area is always noted as in the top five biggest growth areas in the country. My belief is that the problem is due to the compounding of so many new addresses every month from the growth, combined with COVID and Amazon's business model causing so many more deliveries per address.

It used to be that the delivery companies had relatively stable routes with the same driver every day to every address. They can't do that any more, so there's no way to teach your driver your delivery preferences - too many individual drivers coming to your address. In addition, they no longer knock or ring a delivery, so you can't intercept them to talk to them unless you notice their presence, even if you didn't have to deal with so many drivers.

Most problems in life have some element of poor-communication driving them. I submit that that is what's driving our constant disappointment in delivery performance these days.

The bottom line is that there are more and more packages being delivered and the poor delivery drivers just don’t have the time for individual service like they used to.
