Painting my half doors with automotivetouchup paint. Khaki metallic, AJC. For some reason, the paint isn’t sticking to the door and looks discolored/dull. It’s like when I spray the paint into the door it just repels off. I sprayed it onto a test card and the color match was perfect, but it isn’t sticking to the door itself at all, and now looks off when sprayed on a new test card. The door was sanded, primed, and prepped the exact way they instruct within a clean environment. I’ve done this exact process before when I painted them PSB silver, but since then got a new jeep. I have shaken the can violently and hear the ball mixer rattle. Any ideas? I did wait two days in between the primer and base coat since the humidity percentage was a bit high. Honestly thinking about just taking them to a Maaco this time and letting them have at it.

Not sure whats going on there. For a larger surface doors, fenders and such, I will go purchase the base paint, clear coat, reducer and catalyst from my local auto paint supplier. That way I put down two good base coats and four clears over the top. I did this for my Poison Spyder fenders and they came out great.
