This thing is driving me nuts. My symptoms are a low/rough idle (sometimes sounds like it’s about to die).
Also occasionally while driving usually happens around 2.5-3k rpm with about 1/4 throttle it starts stuttering/jerking very badly and if I let off gas or floor it, it quits.

I have changed tps (non mopar)

Crankshaft sensor twice but installed mopar one over weekend.

Installed new plugs/plug wires/distributor cap

Cleaned IAC

Checked for vacuum leaks.

Cam sensor was changed about a year ago with a knockoff autozone one so I just ordered the mopar version of it, waiting for it to arrive.

Am I missing something, and what has anyone done that actually fixed the problem?

My code 1391 code came back the day after I changed the crank sensor.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Here are a few suggestions that might help you narrow down the problem:

Wiring and Connections: Since you've replaced multiple sensors, I suggest thoroughly checking the wiring and connectors leading to both the crankshaft and cam sensors. Look for any frayed wires, corrosion, or loose connections. Sometimes, the issue isn't the sensor itself but the electrical components connected to it. Honestly, I can't stress this enough!

Ground Connections: Check all the ground connections in the engine bay. A poor ground can lead to erratic behavior and various sensor issues. Make sure they are clean and tight.

Battery: A weak battery can sometimes lead to odd electrical issues. Make sure your battery is in good condition and that the terminals are clean and tight.

PCM Issues: If the wiring checks out and the new cam sensor doesn’t solve the problem, consider the possibility of an issue with the PCM. An intermittent fault in the PCM can also cause similar symptoms and codes.

Fuel System: It might also be worth checking the fuel system. Ensure that you have a steady fuel supply and that the fuel pressure is within spec. A failing fuel pump or clogged filters could contribute to the symptoms you're experiencing.

Examine Other Sensors: Sometimes, a faulty sensor other than the one throwing the code can cause issues. If you haven't done so recently, check the MAP sensor and the O2 sensors to ensure they're functioning properly.

Just wanted to post results in case anyone is battling same issue. So yesterday I was driving and it died completely and had to get it towed home. Last night I checked everything and was getting no spark at all. I tried the old crank sensor in case the new one had failed but still nothing. I put new crank sensor pack on. This morning my new cam sensor mopar brand that’s in distributor came in. I put it in, and when I turned the key on the check engine light went off by itself. It then fired right up and now it purrs like a kitten. The miss I’ve always had at idle is completely gone. Thx
