ORO Swayloc Clunk

With TJ products, you never know when a batch might be the last batch....

Many vendors have already stopped making TJ products and with the JL/JT arrival, that trend is probably accelerating.
Just think, the one you order right now may be the last one that gets another batch put into production.

I used to see him on FB but after 465 straight days in a row of him posting up pics of the thermometer showing below zero temps, 21 feet of snow on the ground, and snotcicles hanging from the end of his nose, I had to unfollow him. It's Minnesota Stu, what the fuck did you think it was gonna be like?

The winter of '89 will forever stay in my memory. We needed to dig a tunnel out of the front door and walk to the grocery store. Great day for a ten year old, but I can't imagine moving from Arizona to that!

I can’t wait to be free of my ties to MN.

Tried to give Stu a gun barrel in appreciation for his efforts on his site but he didn’t want to have to build the rest of it.

I'm 'bout to do the same thing to Allen. Middle of January in the Denver area, Oh My God, there's snow on the ground. Really Allen, you've been there 10 years now and you don't know it snows?

Become 30 years younger and your Facebook problems will be solved. For the last 5 years, it has been an old person thing to post on Facebook at all. If you're under 40, you're allowed to update your profile photo, share the occasional post from someone else, and maybe upload a few photos if you're feeling bold.

The issue is that the buying/selling groups are unmatched on craigslist.

I'm on facebook almost everyday, mostly on marketplace and private messaging a few friends. I haven't posted anything besides updating my profile photo in almost 2 years. My entire profile is just some Jeep photos anyway.

FYI, I got a response from Steve for ORO via Facebook. He me forwarded his email response, but somehow the original didn’t make it to my inbox/junk folders.

Good to know there is "proof of life" from ORO.

I eagerly await your further reports.

FWIW - I have had the swayloc for a while and I have not had any issues on pavement or driving on bumpy FS roads (in the soft setting). The offroad setting does make a difference for the better. Dave did mention that it took a bit of finagling to get it set up correctly because the arms do not hug the frame like antirock does. Nothing problematic though.

When the time comes to list my Anti-Rock for sale I will offer it locally to the guys in my club and also in the "Parts For Sale" section of this forum. Probably mid to late September.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to reports from @eblank8 of the ultimate cause of his clunking and how ORO resolved his issue.

Quick update. I took measurements last weekend. ORO told me the ID of the outer bar and the OD of the inner bar should be within 0.010". I measured mine at ~0.019" tolerance, nearly double the spec.
I flipped the outer bar and think this reduced the delta to about 0.014". Improved, but still clunky and is felt in the steering after a day or so.

The worst part is that I ended up losing the grease zerk. The grease zero is pressed fit into a hollow bolt. Since I had to grease the SwayLOC so often, the zerk loosened up and fell out while driving.

I sent this info to ORO last weekend, but never received a response. Hoping for a resolution soon...

Reviving an older thread, but I’m curious if ORO ever sent you a new Swayloc or what the outcome was...
