ORO Swayloc Clunk

. . . I’ve been unsuccessful getting a hold of anyone from ORO. No one answers the phone when I call and their voicemail box is full. Sounds like they may be short staffed currently. No response via email either.

That would be worrisome, but hopefully Northridge 4x4 will have a phone number that someone at ORO will answer.

I was keystrokes away from buying a SwayLOC from Northridge 4x4 and putting my Anti-Rock up for sale when I saw your misfortunes in this thread.

Since the Northridge 4x4 site indicates that the SwayLOC ships directly from the manufacturer "typically within 30 days," I've put my purchase on hold until ORO responds to you.

Did you purchase from ORO directly or through Northridge 4x4?

A perfectly sound position given the exceptionally high rate of this issue being reported all over the fucking internet. I hope no one ever posts up an issue with the same brand suspension you have. Damn thing is going to look absolutely ridiculous sitting on the frame after you get done removing everything anyone has ever had an issue with.

Purchased through Northridge4x4.
Sounds like you might be okay. I’m the only one that seems to have had this issue.
They are a two man team from what the rep at Northridge told me. I’m okay with waiting. Still have my stock sway bar with disconnects that I can throw back on.

I have no doubt the issue will be resolved.

My only concern is that the voice mailbox is full. When someone responds to OP that will give me confidence that the company is operational during the pandemic, there is inventory to be shipped, and someone will be available to respond to me if need be.

They were making YouTube videos

Who wants a used but not abused AntiRock?

Seriously.

I am going to purchase a SwayLOC, probably from Northridge 4x4. I'm just waiting for OP to report "proof of life" at ORO. ;)

Its just part of the goddam new normal for internet purchases during the pandemic.

It's worth the wait. I've had the manual SwayLOC, purchased from Northridge 4x4, installed for over a year without issue.

They must no longer carry any stock. My invoice shows shipped from N4x4's Kentucky warehouse within a few days of purchase.

There are so many supply chain issues these days that it pays to personally confirm stock before committing a credit card number for a large purchase or expecting anything to arrive on exactly the day you want/need it. Its just a sad fact of life.

I mean, you can always cancel the order or file a claim with your credit card if you never receive anything... I'd rather get my order in while there could still be stock rather than wait until there might not be stock and business is slow enough for them to tell you that.

I can wait for proof of life. I have a perfectly good AntiRock doing the job for now.

It won't matter if there is a sudden run on SwayLocs and ORO runs out before they answer the phone. I'll buy from the next batch.

Or not.

Its a want, not a need. Besides, I don't ever want to be known as a "mod collector" (even if I am). :)

Which version you going to get?

With TJ products, you never know when a batch might be the last batch....

Many vendors have already stopped making TJ products and with the JL/JT arrival, that trend is probably accelerating.

Stu sold his Jeep about 4-5 years ago and retired to northern Minnesota.
I used to see him on FB but after 465 straight days in a row of him posting up pics of the thermometer showing below zero temps, 21 feet of snow on the ground, and snotcicles hanging from the end of his nose, I had to unfollow him. It's Minnesota Stu, what the fuck did you think it was gonna be like?
