Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

Operation Phoenix

No offense but I think I'd like to find something more chicken like or comical and less tramp stamp.

Also worried about the quality of $14 vinyl. Done plenty of logs on trucks and vans over the years and I know what cheap stickers do to paint.

Thinking a blue racing stripe down the passenger side of the hood and three blue stars on the driver not lined up.

Would love to find a graphic artist designer to make something fantastic for the doors. And then get some t shirts printed because it would be awesome.

Got ideas...I can fix things but I can't draw!

Welding on the damaged side was a drop everything and we are out of time thing. It'll get fixed when I get home.

If I get a good logo I could scale it and have it plasma cut into some 3/16" steel to replace the W logo that originally was there.

None taken! I think we are all just really excited about the way this project is going!

I'd be in for a shirt, if you eventually get some made.👍

What are your thoughts on cotton vs synthetic? I love Headsweats...they make fantastic hats (washable and no button on top) and print race jerseys on quick dry shirts made from recycled plastic bottles. They have grab bag shirts too for $5 if you want to check them out.

I'm personally a big fan of cotton, but not so much so that I'd miss out if you got them printed on a synthetic.

Went wheeling today. Up to Secret Lake off the Forby East Road outside of East Jordan. Chatted with some local 4x4 clubs and all the land here is privately owned by a couple of timber companies...and they gate everything off to prevent fires.

Decent trail... mildly technical. Got some good video. Need to adjust my transfer case linkage...did it all in 2 wheel drive.

Left Victoria Island this morning.

Went to the 426 Jeep club meet and greet in Sooke. Talked to folks about local wheeling and might come back in October.

Thinking we're going to run the Whipsaw trail on our way to the WABDR. It's on Highway 3, it's 80 km long and a lot of folks say it's a bucket list trail.

Meanwhile here's the next video installment...we left off finishing section 5-3 and our dog running off... here's an ATV trail I found and cut out searching... didn't mind breaking the rules because one nobody has been down this trail in 20 years and two I was doing all the trail maintenance. Little did I know but my wife had aired up the tires to 32 psi for a run to Unity... funny how when you're in the thick of things you don't notice. That or KM3s are that good. But that explains the slip and getting partially wrapped up on a tree.

Also yesterday I ran all my tire carrier wiring...antennas, combo reverse and third brake light. Tightened bolts...one of the skid pan bolts disappeared. Got some replacements.

Drove from Victoria Island to Nitehawk, Washington yesterday and started down the WABDR.

Made camp just north of Nine mile campground along the creek.

Woke up this morning and drove all the way to Okanogan... drove into town for gas and ice cream... it's hot!

Camped tonight at the intersection of 4150 and 575.

Jeep has a check engine light. ODB port isn't working. Little down on power on the hills. We overflowed the gas tank in Canada... outside Vancouver and it poured out the top of the tank. Pretty sure the code is EVAP related and we probably popped the vent lines off the top of the tank.

I think the power issue is heat soaking the injectors and rail... it's in the high 90s. Thermostat is right around 212...either a touch below like it usually is or a touch to the right when we're cooking down the freeway in hot weather.

Probably going to play with wiring diagrams tomorrow. Kinda afraid to mess with anything since it's running.

Axles seem hot...but everything is hot. Need to check fluids.

Supposed to be 13 degrees cooler tomorrow.

Southbound and down!

Made it to Chelan.

Check engine light was out this morning and hasn't returned.

Did an extracurricular hill climb and the transfer case popped out of gear... brakes were shit and terrain sandy so I guided it as gently as I could into a tree. Only broke the right tail light...and since the left was broken in the last collision I guess I'm due a set...this time flush. Maybe truck lite. Got a video.

Cooper Mountain was awesome.

Probably going to camp out on 8410 west and south of Chelan Lake.

ODB port runs off fuse 17 according to the FSM...and so does the sound bar dome light...which also isn't working. I have power to the fuse...will do more troubleshooting tonight.

Moving along fast enough we're thinking of running portions of the Oregon BDR home.

Guessing we make Hood River Wednesday.

Camped last night at the Snowberry Bowl campground. I hate organized campgrounds but I was overruled. Was relatively empty.

Got a good early start this morning... before 9 am...ran the Jungle in the TJ (similar to Black Bear Pass) and the truck took the alternative route. Made it round Chumstick Mountain into Cashmere. Gorgeous views. Easy wheeling.

Fueled up here and we're planning on another 30 miles to Beehive Reservoir and hoping to camp there tonight.

You have to put some of one of these photos in the monthly contest.

I am starting to like the red and white combination .. definitely tells a story.

The Canadians really liked it. Thinking of a Canadian Invasion Force sticker and/or logo somewhere...big enough but not huge.

5G tonight, a view of the world and mosquitoes.

If you like the pictures hopefully I can do the video justice.

Y'all need to run the WABDR.

Nothing wrong with the alternator...or the fuse...Jeep cables.com fuse block just melted. Bypassed the fuse block by connecting the cables together in the Napa parking lot. 90a alternator in a box JIC. Gas and headed down the trail!

And the hits keep coming...clutch line was touching the O2 sensor and even the heat shield wouldn't save it. Have it bodged together with a silicone drinking straw and trying to figure out how to bleed a clutch.
