My 97 jeep wrangler 4.0 6cyl with automatic transmission. The oil pressure gauge will be fine when u first start it after driving 8-10 miles it starts to creep down to 20psi while going down the road then at a stop it goes to 0 and check gauges lite comes on. When u start moving again it comes up a little. I have replaced oil pressure sensor and changed the oil and it still does it. Any suggestions
Thanks

You need to get an oil pressure test gauge and verify the actual oil pressure.

If it's actually low, it could be the oil pump, or it could be the bearings.

What oil weight are you using?

The oil should be fine.

Those sensors are known to be junk. However if it consistently drops when the oil is hot, you should probably check the oil pressure with a gauge.

No its a duralast from autozone
Duralast is absolutely the WORST possible brand for anything important or critical. The one time I had to use that brand for an oil pressure sender, on a Sunday when the dealer's parts department was closed, I had to go back to AutoZone twice more that day until I finally got one that worked properly.

I'd go for a better brand like the Standard Motor Products PS284 at https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...tch+&+relay,oil+pressure+sender+/+switch,4588

Ok so I put a oil pressure tester on it and at idle it's 10-13 psi. When u step on accelerator it jumps to 35-40 psi so it is the oil pressure sensor. I had to order one from oreillys so I will put it on when it gets here.

Ps284 is the same part number at oreillys so I ordered it from them. If I ordered from rockauto it would take 2 weeks to get
