Hello I have 2000 jeep 4.0L with 174k miles on it and I got a scare the other day when I had noticed my oil pressure was a lower than it usually was it used to sit at around 20psi at idle but now it sits around 10-15psi and it used to come up around 50psi with rpm now it sits around 45psi and the pressure drops noticeably quicker than usual could I've having trouble with the sending unit or oil pump or could it be an issue with the oil filter or could my 4.0L just be starting to show its age?

Change the oil and filter and report back.

Is that with a mechanical gauge or the dash gauge?

I'd recommend unscrewing the sender and using a mechanical gauge to verify any readings.

What's your fuel mileage and how full is the oil? I've seen my TJ chase low temperatures from a stuck open thermostat by adding more fuel, some of which made it into the oil.

Now that you mention it gets pretty poor fuel economy and I actually code scanned my tj the other day and I learned I have a misfire on 3 and 6 and that they're running rich now and the oil is at a perfect level on the dipstick.
