Noise on deceleration after SYE install

Nope, no up/down or in/out movement. Maybe the yoke nut loosened?

It looked like the whole shaft was moving together. Should I try and just crank it a little bit and see if it stops moving?

It's worth a shot. The alternative is your pinion bearings are toast and you'll be tearing it apart anyways.

Good point. I’ll crank it down tomorrow. Got caught up with a chatty neighbor that I couldn’t shake.
Should I use a torque wrench as a “limiter” of sorts to stay off the crush sleeve?

Finally got it into the shop to get it fixed. Bearing was toast, and it’s all fixed for me to pick it up Monday. Guy sent me a picture of it. Said I was lucky it didn’t blow up on me.
