I found it while looking for a solution to the mess created when dropping the filter on a 2021 ram half ton.
My subaru BRZ was definitely the easiest filter I ever changed.
I ordered mine when I ordered the engine skid, so excited to try it outI hadn’t done an oil change since installing my stahlbus.
if you have an engine skid, and don't have a stahlbus…this is a world changer.
even if you don’t have a skid, this thing kicks ass. I didn’t take pictures because I DIDNT HAVE TIME. I unscrewed the dust cap with my fingers, plugged in the hose which reached into the hole in my drip pan. Went inside to grab my funnel and filter and oil and it was done draining with not a drop of oil anywhere. unhooked the hose, screwed on the dust cap by hand, changed the filter and dumped in the oil.
listen I know it might sound stupid “it’s an oil change how hard could it be?” And honestly I wouldn’t have considered this if I didn’t have a skid but just my 2 cents , this makes an oil change a lot nicer. Took less than 5 minutes and no tools needed.
Ordered, can I be a cool kid again? Literally have no clue why I need a $45 drain plug but “internet bros” say so.

I hear a gallon sized ziplock works well for stopping the mess. Pull it off and zip it shut. Never tried it myself.
This saves time the effort of scrubbing until I see yellow!
I use a plastic shopping bag, and as I spin the filter off it goes in the bag. That method works very well.
Most plastic shopping bags here come with holes already in the bottom. Better make sure to check first. Much cheaper than a ziplock.
I always pull them down over my head and cinch them up tight around the neck to check for holes.
