We headed out from southern Indiana to Windrock on New Year's Day. A friend and Jeepin' buddy owns Coal Creek Campground in Rocky Top, TN so we always stay there. We hit the trails first thing Friday morning. Around lunch, my 6 month old PSC power steering pump decided to start exiting the chat. It had a major wine at 1,500+ RPM's and was leaking from the pulling bearing. It also wasn't pushing fluid through the cooler so the resivor was overflowing. Going up an obstacle, I had a cylinder misfire so I had to winch up it because I was low on power. The misfire went away and we continued the day limping a power steering pump.
Go out Saturday morning to start the Jeep and the misfire is there constantly now. Thanks to having spare parts, I swapped the coil pack which didn't fix the problem. I had a new set of injectors so I swapped them out, again didn't fix the problem. I stuck the kid in with my brother and sent them off with the group. I ran to the parts store and grabbed some spark plugs to put in. The Jeep ran good so I headed out to meet up with the group only to meet my brother limping back to camp. His TCM decided to exit the chat in his JK. So we head back to camp and get cleaned up while deciding to leave Saturday or wait until Sunday. We decided to load up and head home Saturday. Started the Jeep to put it on the trailer and the misfire was perminant. Hopefully it is something simple.
Unfortunately this is the only pictures I got. The plugs are what came out (1 is on the bottom, 6 on the top). If you follow Wheat's Offroad on socials, they have several reels and pictures from the trip.
