Thankfully, I've learned to cope and better manage my anger. I didn't even have a flashback looking at it. I'm cured!!! Still wonder who has/had a blue one, though...I did. ..it was a red one though. I haven't had it for a while. ..4 years or so.

Yeah, they weren't much to look at, but it was a DAMN nice vehicle. Drove really well and the convenience of the midgate cannot be beat. The later ones with out the cladding were more attractive...and didn't succumb to rust as badly (which is why I got rid of mine at 187,000 miles). The rust had opened up the rockers under the rear doors. It wasn't visible, yet, but I wanted to sell it before it was!Thankfully, I've learned to cope and better manage my anger. I absolutely agree with that statement. And what they did have was now body color, and not that "fade to gray" black plastic...(shudder)The later ones with out the cladding were more attractive

[/QUOTE]Lie down please Mr Squatch..Now relax....I sense you have deep unresolved feeling about this vehicle...tell me about your childhood !!![]()

It has a touch of rake so far, got the rear suspension worked out, then winter got here. Project for a nice weekend.

Lovin' the scenery. Nice shot!I have a friend who owns a new Cherokee. He's not really into Jeeps but he loves it. He knows his stuff "car-wise" so I'll take his word that it's a decent vehicle. Compared to current cars that it competes with in the market I think they look good. I'd consider one but even used they're still pretty pricey.
I've owned 3 XJ's and surprisingly they all came from the same dealership. I live no where close to that dealership and I've never been there. I bought the first one new in 1990. The dealership I dealt with didn't have the model I wanted (a black 4 dr. Laredo) so they shipped in from Bannerman Motors. I bought second one (a '95 black 2 dr. Sport) here in town. Sure enough Bannerman is plastered all over the service records. My current one (white 2 dr. '89 Limited) came with the bill of sale ... same dealership. I was at an automotive flea market last year and bought a Bannerman dealer badge for $2. It's probably going on the tailgate.
This is a year round driver ...

I was looking up this photo of the Avalanche to put up against the Aztec. Then I read your post! LOLSorry, but I disagree. Ugly? Yes! Hideous? Maybe. But when the Chevy Avalanche first debuted, I went through about a 4-year stretch of actually getting pissed-off every time I saw one. Whomever designed that hermaphrodite should have been drawn and quartered. I'd own an Aztec based on it's pure funkiness. The Avalanche? If I was hitchhiking and one pulled over to offer me a ride, I'd respectfully decline. (My apologies to those of you who own one. To each their own, right? Just remember, I own Gremlins and love Pacers, so there's that...)![]()
LOL A picture is truly worth a thousand words! Or maybe just the six bold ones they used there. Seems to capture it perfectly!I was looking up this photo of the Avalanche to put up against the Aztec. Then I read your post! LOL
