Hello all!

I just wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself. Unlike most everyone here it seems, I didn’t grow up around Jeeps or trail riding but I have always loved reading about it on forums like this one. Now that I am older and have just enough disposable income to make my wife mad, I picked up a 2004 LJ with 130,XXX miles and the automatic transmission (see below).

I do not have any grand plans about building some amazing trail rig. The real dream for me is to have a Jeep that my family and I can jump into any day of the week and drive.

I also want to go ahead and thank everyone for the time that they have put into this forum. I have already utilized it for what to look for in a used TJ/LJ!

Here is how the Jeep currently sits (from the ad). I did remove the plastic grill inserts and plastic bumper guards once I got home.

Welcome . Very nice LJ :) . It is quite capable for some trail riding as is . I personally would go with a narrower wheel to put the tires back under the fender flares and get a good set of all terrain tires . Other than that , just enjoy the ride .

I agree with the comment about narrower wheels. I really like the look of the Moab wheels and the stock fenders.

Where bouts in North Georgia are you. We have guys from all over GA. Just begging to wheel with @tr21triton @Hog @AndyG and myself.

You might have to fill out an application and get it submitted to Andy for approval, sometimes he is more lenient on new members :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I’m located about half way between Blue Ridge and Atlanta in a place called Ball Ground. And @AndyG let me know who’s palms I need to grease to get the application approved 😅
