I used to drive a Citation, too. It's one of the cars I look for every now and then, but they're exceedingly rare these days. Good snow vehicles. The only time I smile on the road is on my bicycle or in my Jeep. Life therapy. The more it rides like my wife's minivan, the less I smile.
But I was raised in the country. It was 5 miles to pavement. No suspension mattered on our roads. Hang on to the wheel because it was going to be a ride.
I bet I could out drive a soccer mom in her lifted JLU or new fancy Bronco with my old front wheel drive Chevy Citation I had in high school.
We had to memorize the county before GPS.
Remember, only a fool buys the first production year of a new vehicle![]()
Purchasing a new Bronco should be "in addition to" the beloved TJ. Shouldn't be a one or the other decision. Unless of course you're still paying off your 30 year auto warranty or something![]()
They'll have to pry my TJ from my cold dead hands. But I always have room in my driveway for ridiculous impulses.

A few years ago, I almost bought a 2-door sedan with 47,000 original miles on it. Can't remember what came up that interrupted the purchase, but by the time I got back to the guy, he had sold it to someone else. Oh, and remember the Citation X11?Reliable too. Ours had 175,000 miles on it when we started driving it as teens. 210,000 when we sold it. 2.8 L V6.
Not bad for an 80s car. We had a red 2 door hatchback. So it was sporty looking for a kid's car.
Maybe Chevy will bring them back as a retro model.![]()
Especially with Ford. Ford has screwed over its customers on more than one occasion, so I would wait until the issues with these things are known.Yeah, I would wait until this thing has been wrung out a couple of years down the road. It does have my interest.
Makes you appreciate a vehicle as old as the TJ. By this point in time we already know all of the issues with them and how to address said issues.

For the nubs that don't know about the 6000 SUX
Thanks for confirming what I thought. Haven't seen that movie since it originally was released, but the name was so comically unforgettable that it triggered my memory more than the visual of the car.For the nubs that don't know about the 6000 SUX
12 inch display, different driving modes to choose from using your pick a mode dial, keyless start.
Any word on price? Locking front and rear axles makes it a Rubicon, so some of the options aren't that new if the cost is in the same range or higher.
