New Ford 4X4's and rear locker for dummies

I got rid of my 96 S-10 5 spd. 4X4 because it's push button 4X4 was an issue. It was a great truck other than that .

Stupid thing grinds going into 4wd above like 2mph 🙄 it likes to give me a 4wd warning light when in 4lo too but I just tell it to shut up and turn it off and back on and it keeps working

My S - 10 would delay engagement , then it would violently engage like dumping the clutch with a manual transmission . The system was tied to the ABS and then through an " encoder " to give an enable to the PCM to engage the T-case and front axle. Screw GM and the push button BS.
