Need to replace the track bar: is JKS a solid option?

Found the bushing on Amazon.. $13.
I could use some help with the larger bolt. Is that what came with the 7572 track bar? If so, I may already have that.

I believe that the original bushing in that track bar calls for the standard bolt and not a larger diameter bolt. @AndyG should know where he got the larger bolt and flag nut.

I think Blaine has a real good one do business with him if you can- You won’t go wrong

I’m no pro, but I know JKS is definitely an upgrade without breaking the bank. I installed JKS adjustable front sway bar links. Love them.

PO installed a Rough Country adjustable track bar shortly before I bought the Jeep.. that would make it about four years old..maybe.
The axle side bushing is showing some fatigue. So, time to take action. I don't know if the bushing is serviceable and it's the last of the RC stuff that I haven't already replaced.. so I am inclined to just replace the bar with something better.

Research tells me the JKS bar is a good option for my use case. 2.5" SL. No heavy wheeling. Outer beach sand, dirt and rock fire roads. Mostly a daily driver with camping a few times a month. Looking for an option with serviceable bushings and US made.

Better options?

Check the bolt size on the frame mount, I think RC may drill out to a 5/8” hole. I think the JKS bar is a 9/16” bolt.

It’s not taking me to it but it will be 9/16 or 14 mm if you’re going in that direction

Odd... the link works for me.. I have the Moog K7252 bushing coming. Can't find the inside diameter for the bushing sleeve so not sure what size bolt or whether the bracket will need too be drilled to accommodate the correct bolt. The caption below says the flag nut works with the OEM bolt so I am second guessing whether this is a right strategy. I am not 100% sure the Moog K7252 bushing fits the RC track bar. Maybe I should order the JKS bar just to be safe. I emailed BMB but no response yet.

I am not sure if this data point is going to help or not, but I have that mega-bolt and it fit my "JKS OGS126 Front Adjustable Track Bar"

If I can just replace the bushing on the RC bar and in the process upgrade the hardware it would be far easier and less expensive.

if I am reading the earlier posts correct, the Moog bushing can be fitted to the bar I have.

I'll call RC to confirm whether the bushing is serviceable

Thanks. Now I am doubting my plans. The JKS OGS126 Front Adjustable Track Bar is for 4" of lift. or more. The JKSOGS128 is for 2.5" or more so that's what I would need. Comes with the larger bolt.
Dangit, not my intention! I have a BDS 2.5" lift, if that means anything.

Hm... actually, are you sure about that?

OGS126 (1-3.5" lift): https://jksmfg.com/products/adjusta...-lj-cherokee-xj-comanche-mj-grand-cherokee-zj

OGS125 (4"+ lift): https://jksmfg.com/products/adjusta...-lj-cherokee-xj-comanche-mj-grand-cherokee-zj

OSG128 (no lift mentioned 2"+ lift for TJ, but seems to be some HD version?): https://jksmfg.com/products/hd-adju...-lj-cherokee-xj-comanche-mj-grand-cherokee-zj

However, if I can just replace the bushing on the RC bar and in the process upgrade the hardware it would be far easier and less expensive.

if I am reading the earlier posts correct, the Moog bushing can be fitted to the bar I have. But this not entirely clear.

I was having a hard time following all the bushing replacement talk too unfortunately.

It will fit- but its tight.

The K7252 requires a 9/16”
Or 14mm bolt.

This is the most recent thread on this topic... I'm installing a JKSOGS128 (JKS HD front track bar) soon and have learned 1) that the frame side will required to be drilled out to 5/8", and 2) the ends are serviceable... e.g., ~$40 for frame end flex joint for that bar. Probably similar for other track bars.

The other JKS front track bars are for different lift ranges and require a 9/16" frame side hole, so... no drilling, I think?
