JKS Adjustable Track Bar Play

Ok. The bolt was loose and contributed to death wobble. You corrected that by tightening the bolt. And now you also have a garbage bushing that you get to replace in the near future after you complain about the shaking.

I can assure you the old bolt was tight. As you mentioned earlier in the thread to tighten the bolt which I tightened to 55 ft lbs and then even as high as 70 ft lbs. The bolt had no play in the bushing the bushing itself had the movement. Did I have a bad bushing from the factory? Very possible! Could replacing it with the same bushing have fixed my issue? Maybe! But this is what I did and so far it has fixed my issue. If the bushing is so junk and you say no one has ever had an issue of death wobble with the JKS track bar then why would JKS themselves sell a HD poly bushing as an upgrade? Not saying I am right and you are wrong or vise versa but there can be multiple causes and thus multiple solutions. If I end up replacing the bushing due to it being junk I will update this thread so if anyone reads this in the future and has the same issue they won't use my solution.

I don't know if that is the alternative or not.

Three things I do know are that the two piece poly bushings are nowhere as effective at controlling movement as bonded rubber Cleavite bushings are, this is the first time I am aware of someone fixing DW with a two piece poly bushing, and we don't see people experiencing DW attributed to JKS track bars.

Dude, I am literally one of the people who cured my DW by replacing the bushing in the JKS bar. One of our local reputable shops told me there was play in the JKS because of the soft bushing, and this new bushing solved the issue. Your defense of the JKS bar is bizarre.

I am famous for defending JKS.

If this death wobble inducing soft bushing in JKS track bars is truly a thing, then that only adds to my list of things against JKS. The RockJock track bar does not have this problem.

I swapped out SO many steering/suspension components over the years chasing the DW demon around, and it was this simple bushing causing the issue.

In the next few weeks I will be swapping out my bearings, ball joints and u-joints up front (ball joints showing their age and doing the others while getting elbows deep) and will take a look to see how the bushing is holding up over the past 20k or so.
