The version my son would like too
I prefer the handy flag whip flags to the forever wave. I shortened mine and like having the QD mount so I can remove it easily. Easier than a zipper.
I really like the green ones. I need to order some for myself.Quite a while ago, I ordered a bunch of soft shackles from @mrblaine. Shortly after I received them, Blaine reached out and asked me if I was happy with the shackles. "Well, yeah," I immediately responded, "they are well-made and work great. Very happy."
He told me he was not happy with the "hand" on the yellow compared to his other colors, and he was also not happy with how the knot came out due to the rope construction. He then sent me a shackle in green so I could see the difference he was describing.
Subsequently I've used and abused them. They work perfectly. I carry a few in all my vehicles.
Out of the blue about a week ago I get a DM from Blaine saying he had found a new supplier, and was sending me a few replacements to see what I thought.

Even though the first version was absolutely fine, these are even better. And being the simple fool that I am, I really like the brighter yellow.
I post this mainly to reenforce what a lot of us already know: Blaine is good people.
Oh man, that's quite the selection.

Maybe a compromise?

That said, I do like these things. The zip-on sleeve is cool.
And finally today, a little commitment to trail cleanliness, and a little support for my local Jeep buddy, Matt.

Well, I was gettin' nervous as to whether it would be here in time for the Sand Hollow trip, but my new flag showed up just in time...

For anyone interested, this is from ForeverWave, which is the place Ryan posted about.

About $50 shipped. Appears to be very good quality, with a cool zipper system to attach the flag to the FireStick antenna for which it was designed.
5 Stars. Would recommend.

And in other news, I'm packing up this afternoon to meet Victor ( @gasiorv ) to wheel Golden Mountain Park, which is between Nashville and Knoxville. Cool place, with a bunch of hardcore stuff. Hopefully Vic will take it easy on me.
I'm trying something different this time:

These stickies have proven to be pretty tough so far, so at least for this park I'm comfortable leaving the spare in the truck. We'll see how it goes.
All packed up. This may be the last trip for this trailer. Hopefully no flats this weekend...

I meant to measure before pulling the spare, but got caught up in the moment. It did come up, but only a bit. It’s a good bit of weight. Probably over 200 pounds between the spare and the carrier.
