Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

My second TJ build

Got the 8.8 removed. I’m at the tire shop now getting my rear tires switch over so I can roll the 10.5 under the Jeep.

That is crazy sketchy. I'd at least suggest chocking both front tires front and back.

I'm curious why you elected to run limit straps with standard body shocks? I run them with coilovers, but those can come apart on hard drops. I always thought properly sized standard body shocks would work fine without straps.

Front tire is chocked on the driver side front and back and in front of the passenger side. I’m also only under it when the rear is lifted with my tractor. It’s only out of the picture now because I moved the 8.8 out of the way with it.

Also forgot to mention about the shocks. Standard body shocks can still be damaged by over extension, so those are a precaution to preserve the shocks.

Then I started working on this. Relocated the steering box forward and flat in preparation for my front install. I still have to get my lower joints, but luckily the joints I had to replace due to the 10.5” rear truss change I can reuse those for the upper. Plan is to push the front out 4”, unless I can squeeze a bit more out. Steering shaft worked as stock, I just had to modify the center support some.
