Hello Everyone,
This is now my second post here. I figured I would share what I did with my 2006 unlimited Rubicon because seeing so many pictures and builds online is what helped me tremendously with my build. I am hoping this might help someone as well.
I am new to this forum, but I have owned four Jeeps in my lifetime and have always loved working on them. My lease ended in November on my 4xe Wrangler so I decided to take the dive and buy a Jeep Rubicon LJ Unlimited manual. This has always been my favorite jeep, especially in green with the half doors, which is impossible to find in good condition.
Late last year, I was very fortunate to find one located in the upper Northeast that was being sold by a great guy that I still message to this day.. It was a 1-owner Carfax certified with 46k original miles. It came with all maintenance records, had no accidents, a manual transmission, and was silver on black. Not my favorite combo, but it still looks great. It also had the hard top, full soft top, winch with accessories, rock sliders, and a great upgraded sound system. It did have rust on the undercarriage being from that area, but overall the body and interior were in near perfect condition, and the frame looked great.
This is my favorite Jeep by far. The look, the rugged feel, and capabilities, and just how fun it is overall put this one at the top for me.
Overall, its a 2 inch lift with 35's. I wanted to keep it as close to stock as possible, but give it a more aggressive stance and look.
Here is what I have done so far:
