Hi all, so I just did my motor swap from an 02 auto to my 02 5 speed and lately I’ve been having a passenger blinker issue, the blinker light often stays on while driving, not blinking, just stays on and whenever I go to use the blinker, it hyperflashes the back blinker works but not the front. Also whenever driving it sometimes fades on and off. I’m thinking something in the multi function switch may have been shorted? Any ideas?

I would take a look at the grounds in the engine compartment first looking for loose or oxidized connections.
You should also look at the turn signal receptacle for oxidized or loose connections.
IF nothing is found; then remove the cover surrounding the steering column to examine for loose, dirty connections or signs of overheating of the wiring or harness connectors.

Also, in addition to above... if was working fine before motor swap, look for wires that may have gotten pinched/pulled/cut...

Odds are the hyperflash at the rear could be caused by the front turn signal not working. Check the front turn signal's wiring, especially check its ground connection. Check its bulb too, is it blown?

That the turn signal light stays on could be cause by a weak/lazy return spring in the turn signal lever mechanism. While driving with the turn signal light stuck on try nudging the turn signal switch lever a bit towards its neutral position. If the light shuts off it's just a weak return spring, replace the MFS (turn signal lever switch assembly). Replacing it only requires a philips head screwdriver.
