A carburated (maybe spelled wrong) small block pulls that heavy thing, & still gets 11mpg? Have you talked much with the big block guys? I wonder if they get better or worse?
My dad had a 73 3/4 chevy, 350 4 barrel, 3 on the tree. Bought it new, it got 9mpg empty or loaded so heavy the back bumper dragged the ground.
Yeah. It's surprisingly fuel efficient (for a class A motorhome). It's low to the ground and shaped well. Mileage goes down quickly with wind and /or starting and stopping (like city driving). I set the cruise around 65 and it does pretty good. The big block guys (455 olds) get about 9 or 10 so not a ton of difference.
I don't have money to burn thats for sure lol..I don't plan on traveling very far and it would be mostly weekend trips when I went..I looked at renting and it's between 2-300 a night
