Wow, I can’t wait 5 minutes to open a new delivery package. Letting it sit for days is incomprehensible.

I know what you mean. Other priorities have temporarily clouded my judgement.

I also ordered the same part from a Mopar online retailer (for $80.87 shipped) with plans to visually compare quality once the item arrives.

The water pump and gasket from WPD seem to be undamaged even though the little box was banged up.

- The price was around $100 just the other day and now dropped back to $80 on Amazon.
- The price is $62.61 + shipping directly on the WPD website.

The water pump from store.mopar.com was cheaper and came in a larger undamaged box and included paper and bubble wrap packing. However, it didn't come with a gasket. No idea if that was in error. I'm personally not worried about it, but others might care. Price is now around $75.00

Note 1: I didn't notice a difference in machining quality and the impeller bearings felt similar, but the stampings do slightly vary.

Note 2: In the last month, I've now seen Amazon, Rock Auto, WPD, and other retail Mopar stores take turns being the cheapest option. WeRMopar's shipping is 3-4 times the cost it should be so I have stopped purchasing parts from them.

Damn, I paid $195 for that exact Amazon listing in 2/2024. I'm going to grab another to put on the shelf. Seems like they are liquidating them from the other stores prices online.

I just ordered 1 from my local Jeep dealer for $72 OTD.

I hear you on that. I returned one last summer that I purchased for about $260...couldn't justify it when considering my budget.

The part number has changed and all Mopar retail sites I checked show the MSRP at a reasonable price. I have no idea what any of this means.

I just ordered one online from my local Jeep dealer for $72 OTD. I'll pick it up when I get home on Thursday.

Nice.

I paid $70.68 + $10.19 to have one shipped from a dealer in Texas.

WeRMopar isn't known for cutting their prices...their cost was around $69, but shipping was around $35 (no thanks).

I just happened to see the dealership name pop up on the Mopar site after I put in my zip codes was the local one and chose pick up instead of shipping. The shipping was only $7.

Here is where I ordered it. It is the actual Mopar store.

Maybe it’s the cynic in me, but I’m not 100% convinced these aren’t counterfeit.

Typically the brand indicators are cast. I feel like anyone could take a random pump and laser etch a part number and logo on it. I also feel like that could open some serious criminal liability from the source though.

I don’t know enough about this stuff though, so I really hope it is the real deal.

I made a purchase to see what I’d get from an online Mopar dealer, and the water pump came from a physical dealer in Garland, TX. Laser etched.

Additionally, I vetted WeRMopar.com in 2022, and they currently carry the same water pump for the same lower price. Another member just shared that they are getting the part at a similar price from the local dealer this week. If it’s the new PN, I bet it will be laser etched.

I’d be more wary if dealers provided parts that looked differed from versions on eBay and Amazon, but that’s not been the case.

I ordered from https://store.mopar.com/ which is the official Mopar parts store (owned by Mopar). They go to the local dealership. I got mine for $72 OTD and picked it up late last week. It will sit on the shelf until I need it. Can't go wrong getting a spare Mopar part.

Part number 5012366AF is now selling for $183 on Amazon, and it's a bit over $200 on Rockauto.

The Mopar retail sites recently listed the 5012366AF, but they now show a different part number. I believe the 5012366AF was showing as the replacement for the 68382492AA, but now it shows the opposite. IDK what's going on...just sharing that the price of the brick has gone up. Glad we got them while the deal was better.

The store we ordered from is crazy expensive now. (I searched 5012366AF)
