Several winters ago I was in my truck stuck in traffic after dark behind a tuner with a ridiculously bright, clearly outside of all DOT and common decency rules, tail and brake light modification. Freaking brutal to look at in a snow storm. So he spent at least an hour seeing my high beams shining directly into his mirrors.

Here you go. I used a piece of 1/4 inch diamond-plate, [came out of the 4x8 piece that my tonneau was cut from] notched it out for the visor ends and visor clips. Had to add an extension to the clips. Bolted it on the side rollbars through holes that were already in the bars, glued a piece of thin rubber to the top [smooth side] and a piece of slit hose for the front edge. There’s a nylon strap in the middle to hold my firearm. I can get my Marlin 1894 and Marlin Model 24 pump to go up there in a pair of lightweight gun socks. And of course it holds small stuff too.
When people do that to me, I politely pull over to let them pass.........Then I tilt my super bright LED driving lights upward and follow them with the high beams on also. It works even better when you have windshield mounted lights too.
Gas strut on the rear gate. It no longer eats me on the slightest of hills. I do have to give it an extra second to open before I pull up the glass.
My favorite mods so far:
Quick release pins on the soft top hardware. Usually when I run with the doors off I just take the entire soft top off as well.
Large wing bolts and nuts for the hardtop install. Much quicker and easier than the torx bolts.
10" subwoofer installed in the base of the rear seat. I installed quick disconnects on the wiring for the speakers/power/bass input control for ease of removal of the rear seat.
Homelink garage door opener. I actually installed mine in the kick panel to the right of the steering wheel, and it's powered by the ignition so that nobody can open the garage doors without a key.
Borla 2 piece header. About one more mpg, but over the long haul and many miles, it was definitely worthwhile.
Rancho 5000x shocks. Thanks for the recommendation, Chris. Huge improvement after I got used to them.

Almost forgot-side sun visors mounted to the door surrounds. There are days when the sun is just at that point where the sun visors won't reach when flipped to the side. Probably the most useful mod I have.

I thought about it but the ends of the visors that turn down were stiff and I didn't want to take a chance of the vinyl cracking by bending them backwards after swapping sides.
Wouldn't have worked on the crazy guy I knew in high school. Cheap $50-60 dollar set from ebay. "Carbon fiber" something or other.

I run similar , called water carbon for some weird reason...they've been fantastic for the cost.
I'm sure from the same manufacturer. I've had mine since 2018 and use them a ton. Not as hot as my wife's kl heated seats but they're still very comfortable on a cool day

I've run the Water Carbon ones in my last 3 Jeeps. They've been great for the money. I'm not sure if you can recline a TJ seat far enough since I pulled them when I installed mine years ago, but you can install them in an LJ without pulling the seats which makes for a very quick project. I've been able to get the heating pads installed in about 30 minutes in my last two LJs.
Hated buying it but is now my favorite part in the Jeep : B&M NSG370 precision sport shifter.

I recently did this as well.
I went with the Dorman kit:

You will need 1 kit per seat (2 kits for the bench seat, 1 per position).
Install was relatively straightforward. I ran mine to a dedicated switched relay to prevent overloading the factory wiring. Each seat heater kit takes about 6 amps or so on the high setting. I did all four seats at the same time.
Seat risers, I'm short and no way I was putting a booster seat in. Now I can see the hood.
Custom slider for the back. Has OBA, auto red LED lighting and 120 volt receps (with USB charge ports) front and rear. Nice to brew a quick cup of java while waiting for the tires to fill.
Tuffy console I just got from my BIL in exchange for a stock console.
GM underhood light with LED for the win. I use it camping (placed as far away from the jeep as possible) to attract bugs when they get bad.
RAM X-grip with a wireless charger added to it. Phone is NOT coming out of that.
Bartact seat covers - installed two days ago. Seat warmers are coming tomorrow. This was not on my radar before this thread. Thanks, I guess? This forum spends more of my money than she does.

Shorter throws. Elbow stays on console lid through all gears. No more "crunchy" gear shifting 1-2 & 2-3. It's my newest "addition" to the TJ so the novelty may wear off after time.
