Ok, I started posting questions on somebody else's thread, however, the amount of follow on questioning that I have makes me think this needs to be it's own thread.
I have a 2.5 inch suspension lift coming this week, and I started researching tire sizes that I can mount to the stock TJR MOAB rims.
As I am no doubt thinking about this backwards (how large of tires will work with the lift, as opposed to how large of lift to accommodate tire size), I'm trying to narrow down possible tire sizes that would require the least amount of tom foolery to mount and still getting close to 33"
265/75R16
285/75R16
255/85R16
285/75R16 - From other threads I have gathered that 285/75R16 will require the use of wheel spacers and/or washers on the steering stops. Disconnected will absolutely require wheel spacers. If this option is chose what are good spacer options?
265/75R16 - From other threads I have gathered that this option would require no spacers or washers on the steering stops, could not find any info on running with sway bar disconnected.
255/85R16 - Looks like an ideal option, other than being a very odd tire size. Replacement of damaged tires might be more difficult.
I would love to hear what your opinions are of this. So to sum the whole thing up, minimize use of any spacers, 33" under a 2.5 sl. Width of tire isn't as important. Don't have swaybar disconnects yet, but probably will in the future.
