That is WAY more realistic...The Subie engine would be difficult for many reasons, not the least of which is where do all the heat exchangers go? On a dune buggy conversion, you'd almost certainly have to run side pods and build the intercooler into one side and the radiator into the other. Then I think...do I really want to chop up a Manx to do THAT to it...or just start with one of the numerous repops out there (like Berrien Buggy).

I am sure someone said "Why" when the first guy put a 331OHV Caddy V-8 into a 32 Ford highboy.
The nay sayers would be saying just put 3 deuces on the flathead.
Bob Chandler didn't stop at WHY when he swung deuce and a half front axles under his 74 F-250
making a 4wheel steer pickup with 48" tires. ( making the first monster truck and creating a whole new industry )
I love to see folks building something their own way , it may not be good for your application , but I'm glad they tried something new.
