I bought a 2006 wrangler x to flat tow bwhind a motorhome. It has bedn lifted and presumably has spacers as the wherls are 31" and no rubbing happens. Also has wheel flares installed. I am ok with the lift but I want to go back to original tires and wheels. I have the original rims and springs. Can I replace the tires and leave spacers in place? Is it difficult to remove or undo the lift? To undo lift, judt put on shocks and original springs( I have the springs)

Not enough information. We don’t know if it’s a suspension or body lift, if it’s a suspension lift whether it’s a spacer lift or new spring lift. Lots of questions.

You could most likely use the OEM wheels with the spacers. Ive run 31's on stock wheels however there are different width wheels from jeep. narrow as 6", up to 8". Far as the lift goes, yes as indicated, it could be as simple as swapping springs, shocks, sway bar links and maybe bump stop or spacers. depends on the lift height installed. You could also be looking at pitman arm, T case spacer removal, trac bar and/or drop bracket. Post up some pics of the underside around the axles and folks can tell you what might be needed.

Pictures would help!

If it's spacers they're easy to remove...might need a spring compressor.

Should have no issues with original tire sizes. Possibly but not probably someone regeared the axles and replaced the speedo gear.

It looks as if they may have only swapped out the coils for longer ones, 3" lift per the "TJ3R" on the rear coils. I see OEM control arms and bump stops and no T case drop kit installed. Which means the lift is not much. That being said You should be able to just get a set of stock coil springs and stock shocks. It would not be out of the question for somebody to have put lift springs in without longer shocks. If I was you Id gat a brand/name off the shocks and a part number which is stamped on the shock body and google it. It will probably show what they fit and if they are stock length or 1-2 lift shocks or what.
