That's a cooler for the power steering system.@Jerry Bransford , if I can be a little nosey, is that a led bar behind the grill?
Wasn't sure, I think I see an an6 fitting which might suggest a cooler of some sort?
Was just trying to identify ....ty

Do those D-ring mounts attach to the frame?Chopped stock bumper. Rough Country winch plate. Warn M8000S. Trail Gear d-ring mounts that are much bigger than I anticipated so I had to mount them horizontally. Will eventually add a bull bar winch guard when I have time to visit the pipe bender . . .

Good question, D-rings used for vehicle recoveries should not be just bolted to the face of the bumper.Do those D-ring mounts attach to the frame?

Probably ok with all that but seeing that will likely make experienced offroaders wary of using it for a serious recovery. I know I would be without knowing anything about it. Grade 8 hardware right? No. I had 1/4" backing plates made for the mounts. So the mounts are bolted through the bumper and the backing plates. The mount bolt pattern straddles the frame rail ends. You have 6 bolts securing the the 1/4" winch plate to the frame, 4 of which also go through the bumper. Counting on the winch plate to truss/reinforce the bumper if you will, combined with the location of the mounts straddling the frame rail ends to work.
Think it will hold?

Yes, all Grade 8. Believe me, it was a battle. For all the time and money I put into this bumper mod I wish I'd just ordered a new bumper (which I know I'm going to end up doing eventually). Live and learn . . . FWIW, the metal shop guy who made the backing plates is a TJ owner too and we discussed the concerns raised by you and 05 Blue about where to locate the mounts to give the stock bumper the best chance of survival. Seems pretty stout to me, but I've never been in a "serious" recovery. Will do my best to avoid . . .

Yup. They ruined a perfectly good pink paint job by lining the body of the JK with Rescue Green Line-X...how tacky is that?Someone painted that JK green, right? Is that what happened?

I wonder if that would look good on mine?
