Colorado Krew Hangout

The GPS said looks like I70 is better coming in from the corridor

Start of Redcone is off 285 otherwise you have to do a full lap to get to the one way that gets you up top. If we are do Radical I'll probably dip out down i-70. 285 is the only way you'll want to come up

Looks.like a few spots. But how busy will it be with it being labor day weekend. This spot is maybe a 1/4 mile

9 is good. Once you leave 285 it's a dirt road, IIRC there's a few turnouts and small parking lot/staging area at trail head. I've only run it mid week, never had issues with staging. Weekend/holiday traffic may make trailer parking very limited

Hall valley Rd CR-60 off of highway 285?

That is correct. If you've made Kenosha pass, you gone too far. As you approach CR60 from the East, there is a big quonset hut on the left side cdot uses to store sand for winter. CR60 is a long dirt road. They do have trailer parking down there, but with the busy weekend you'll want to be early.

Makes it a little hard to pick a spot to wait for everyone if it's gonna be packed but I'll probably just stop at the first trailer parking area (full or not) so I'm not too far in

I would find the first parking lot you come across if it has space and you're trailering. The is a trailhead sign at the end of the dirt road. Handcart gulch is left, red cone is right.

My guess is we'll see each other and stop wherever that is before heading out

Not sure if Google Maps's satellite picture is from a holiday weekend, or a normal weekend, but this is what the parking lot looks like and it also shows 5 more trucks with trailers driving down the road towards it, :ROFLMAO:. I'll probably just drive mine down, so I don't have to worry about it. Given the trailer driving skills of the general public, not sure I want my truck in that chaos.

I parked my truck in that lot last time and it was a clusterfuck. People don't know how to back or park trailers.

I've seen this around Central City , SxS madness . all that's required is a turbo diesel pickup , tandem trailer , and two $30,000 each SxS. A brain isn't even needed , Thought of the day is " Send it " .
