End up being the ground right next to the horn. It's always the simple things.
When's the next appointment?
Luckily this guy wasn't a douchebag. He called Castle Rock (they never have openings) and got me a follow up on the spot for Monday. Can't wait to show those clowns my turn signals![]()
Earlier today. I drive down there honking my horn the whole way. As I pull in I try to honk it one more time.... and NOTHING.
The trooper helps the car in front of me and then goes into the building. I start banging everything and nothing. I reach under the dash and grab the wiring harness and move it around. Boom. She comes back out and it works!
The she gave me shit because the letters stamped into my B post are only 3/16" and not a 1/4". I about list my mind but she still signed off on it.
Then I drive down the road to the emissions place and my check engine light popped on
Went home and check the code, just a misfire. Clear out out and now in sitting in line waiting on emissions check.
Fingers crossed

BFH Garage should do a video on proper wiring techniques
So the saga continues....
Not enough miles on it since I reset the OBD. Whatever. So I'm supposed to drive around for like 200 miles before I can go back. Great. Without a temp plate.
I go to the DMV and ask if I can get a temp registration so I can rack up some more miles. We go over all the paperwork I have, including my fresh vin inspection I got today. All is good except, the wrong box is checked, so now I have to track down the trooper and get her to change it. They also changed it since last fall when I was in. Now I have to get a bunch of other stuff done first. Oh, and yeah, you can have a 14 day temp tag but you'll have to pay another $100 late fee. I tell her to fuck off, I'll just take my chances.
Our government is SOOOOO over-regulated it isn't funny.

You needed to move a few more miles east to Elbert county to avoid (some of) this bullshit.
It wouldn't matter because it's a skip title issue and a salvage issue. I would still be having the same problems. The only thing I would be able to make easier would be the emissions. Montana registration wouldn't do me any good either as I still have to solve the title issue and salvage issue first.
