Jeep won’t shift into gear right away when accelerating

Hello so my automatic Jeep TJ 4.0 won’t shift into gear right away when accelerating and it just stalls till it wants to shift. Everytime I stop and go it does this please help?

We're going to need a much better description of what's happening. Like when you shift from park into drive? And what exactly does the jeep do during this?
