I was going to ET A school on Treasure Island in 1970 when Admiral Zumwalt authorized beer in vending machines. Oly, PBR, and Bud. Twenty-five cents per can. Oly sold out within 10 minutes after re-filling the machine. Only second place I found where I could get totally buzzed on $2.
(First place was drinking port wine in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Spain for fifteen cents US a shot. Powerful stuff!)
