First post so be gentle. I searched but nothing came up. I just picked up my 2003 TJ. The seller disclosed that he would get an intermittent ABS light and would go away when he stopped and restarted the engine. It’s getting to be pretty consistent. I’ve noticed it coming on pretty consistently at about 50 mph. If I stay under that it’s fine. I’ve looked in the service manual and it really doesn’t give a clue as to what the pro blew is.

Have any of you had this issue and what solved it? I’m thinking it may be a wheel sensor and I’m considering buying a front and rear sensor and replacing one each but I hate throwing parts at a problem like that.

Thanks.

It could be something as simple as a dirty wheel speed sensor. Hit the sensor and tone ring area with some brake cleaner and see if that helps
