The thing that bothers me with Armorlite is that you can trap moisture and water under it and make the rust much worse. Water can seep under the edges and puddle. At least carpeting soaks up the water, minimizing the rust. Heat and high humid conditions will create water too. And, it is really troublesome to remove Armorlite to clean under it. It is clear that you have a problem with puddling water by the rust in the bottom of your floorpan. With bedliner that is applied well, you can easily see and mop up any puddling water and the metal is sealed like your exterior paint. This is why most people remove the rubber plugs and bolts before applying it.
