After selling my 06 X a few years ago I was missing Jeep life. Found a somewhat rusty, high-mileage 06 Rubicon with a 6 speed for a steal. Luckily the frame is in excellent shape inside and out from being undercoated over the years. Can't say the same for the front fenders though. It's completely stock, no modifications at all so I have a clean slate.

I'll start a new build thread once I order some parts. Off the bat I know I will be replacing the clutch and front fenders soon. Also found the air locker tube on the front axle was broke off so that will need to be addressed. Planning on the 2.5" suspension, 1.25" body lift, and tummy tuck that I used last time with some 33s.

Cool! I did similarly a few weeks ago, however went with an example highly modded by the previous owner. Got in 3 mild off-pavement shakedown runs already to evaluate what needs attention - and what doesn't as a rust-free west coast TJ Rubicon.

You're lucky to get one out there, everything up in the Northeast is rusted by now.
