I'm servicing a real nice G2 High Pinion front differential in a 2005 TJ. I don't know if a guy wants to fill it too the fill plug because of the high Pinion, too ensure gear lube to the Pinion bearings or not. Seems like a lot of fluid. I'm curious about the rear, as well, since it's tipped up wire a bit. G2 of course, is out of business, so can't ask them. What say the experts out there ?

Generally, you want to fill the differential to the fill plug level. That's what I'd do!

Remove the weep hole plug and fill to there. Both the front and rear G2 covers should have these.

My rear CORE44 production cover does not have a side plug.

Based on your rear axle comment about the pinion angle, I would add the factory recommended fill capacity. The weep hole is probably below the axle tube because of the angle.
