That camper empty is about 1100 with a stated toungweight of around 150lbs. Not sure what it will be loaded but not too far off. I have towed my utility trailer that probably got close 2500lbs often with mowers, mulch, parts, scrap, etc.

Based on this I'd either get something like the Dirtworx bumper that Jerry had linked or try the hitch like OldBuzzard suggested. Our selection of bumpers has dwindled over the last few years.

If I’ve been paying attention this bumper is for a Tj and I think it’s pretty safe to say that nobody is towing enough weight or often enough that it matters.
Here’s what Motobilt says
“The bumper features a 2 inch receiver hitch for taking a rear mounted basket along on the trail if needed.”
dang, you read that @lBasket? just follow rigs with this bumper and let them tow you around the trails with your feet up and a beer

This photo is from about 5-6 years ago and has been removed from the site. If you look at the picture of just the actual product along with some of the other photos you will see the hitch is longer as shown in the drawing along with the outer ring on the end as well. The Hitch portion is the same as the universal curt and to keep the hole hitch from extending even further our it the pin hole is as close as possible.

Good that you updated the product (and removed the older photo after seeing this thread) because the old one was not very good. It was not clear as to which was the current item, drawing vs photos.
Now please also tell @Wildman that my concerns were actually valid

One reason for the update was the ring around the outer edge of the tube. If you backed into a rock or obstacle you could split or crack it so this helps prevent it. It is a premade piece and this is as short as we could make it with the hole in its location. Yes it also helps with the other concerns as well. I hope this helps as we are always striving to make a better product.
