I have a Ford Dana 44 HP that I am slowly acquiring parts for. I will be running flat top knuckles but will/won't necessarily be using high steer arms as I want to focus mainly on the steering geometry first. I know crossover is typically what most people do in my situation, but I have heard that crossover is more difficult to get set up correctly than the haltenberger (inverted y) steering.

So... curious on people's thoughts on utilizing TMR customs y link kit to build a true inverted y steering. I understand this kit is most likely intended to build an inverted T setup, but my thought is if I were to utilize that tie rod end with the mounting hole off the high steer arm on the passenger side, the angle on the tie rod end would be a lot less than traditional tj steering angles on a lifted setup. My thought is that this would keep the TJ steering characteristics that we are all familiar with, but eliminate the tie rod roll that is experienced from lifting the Jeep.

Thoughts?

The tie rod roll isn't from the rig being lifted. It is from the draglink pushing on the tie rod and it rolling to the limit of misalignment before it transmits force to the knuckles, both ways.

So would setting the steering up like below be a waste of time/money in your opinion?
