Steering wheel alignment HELP!

Hey so here s a quick breakdown of what I did..

I wanted to lift my jeep and its a wonky setup so don't deep fry me please but I did a 2" coil spacer lift and 3" BDS springs, the 2" pucks were on there before hand from the last owners of my 1997 jeep wrangler sport 4.0.. I left them. I had my mechanic install and align all the new stuff, steinjager cross over steering, new track bar, front and rear and do some other little things as I didn't have time. Let's say it was a pretty bill for a 24 year old with a jeep he's had for 6 years and hasn't done poop to it. It was time.

Anyways we've run into an issue with the steering and I don't think that he even thought about it because I overloaded him with work on this thing.. but I think I need a drop pitman arm, because my steering wheel is almost 90 off to the right when going straight. And he told me he's got 3 turns in and locked the nuts down on the ends of the heim joints just because we ran out of threads.. Im guessing this is because the drag link has to travel further to reach the pitman arm and the knuckle.. so, at 5" basically of lift which this cross over steering kit says its made for 4-6" I need a drop pitman arm.. The track bar is also steinjager and I don't feel like dropping that, is this normal? and have I thought this out correctly??

Ok...so... trying to be kind here...but you've categorically done a lot of wrong things. Sure we can suggest more wrong things to help...but that's just compounding the problem.

Steinjager crossover steering is just flat out bad. Switch back to stock. Currie Correct Lync or the XJ mod.

Don't do a drop pitman.

I'd suggest dropping to 1" spacers and a body lift. 4" Currie springs would be better IMHO.

Here's how to check and adjust your own toe-in that also includes how to center the steering wheel as well as re-center the axle if necessary. With just a little care on your part with nothing more than a tape measure, a big set of pliers, and a wrench, you can easily set your toe-in with as much accuracy as an alignment shop can. Really.

Start after making sure the front axle is properly centered. That may involve adjusting the trackbar's length which can only be done if there's an aftermarket adjustable-length track bar installed. Or if the original OEM track bar is still installed and...

Thread 'Issues after installing Steinjager crossover steering'

Okay, I'm new to the whole forum thing, so I am unsure of exactly where to post questions like this or anything. I will get better at it I promise lol.

My problem is I put on a steinjager crossover steering not knowing about the troubles it brings with it. I was going to go to currie currectlync but the steering knuckles are drilled to 5/8. Are there any other steering setups out there that have 5/8 tie rod bolts, Or am I missing something? I feel as if I'd be better off buying new steering knuckles at 100 dollars a piece and getting the correctlync setup.
