Got a 97 frankinjeep been working on steering and suspension but I hit another roadblock old tie rod ends way bigger than the stock size. The axel is a Dana 44 transplant

Have you identified what the axle came out of? If the 5x5.5 is its stock bolt pattern that should narrow it down significantly. Post a bunch of pics of it and someone may be able to spot or google figure it out for you. Measure it WMS width would probably help

Without that, I’d break out the calipers and go backwards from a site (like Dana) with TRE specs listed.

It has a Dana 44 with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern can’t remember the gen. I’ll get those pics when I wake up. I work 3rd so post might be at weird times

Looks like stock thread size on a 1990 Wagoneer may be 20mmx1.5 vs the TJ 7/8x18. Is the taper larger, but the nut smaller?

That looks like the latest model with a Dana 44 with 5x5.5.

Will stock tj steering knuckles fit? Seems cheaper since I already have new tie rod and drag link that I can’t return

Y'all were spot on, it is off a wagoneer. Searched C38533 that was stamped on passenger steering knuckle. Need more than ends all ball joints are wore out and one is fixed
